Crosswinds delivers drama at every hole.

Design

BIRDIE

Lots of similarities to Pinehills, which is down the street. Tons of elevated tees, where you often find yourself above the trees hitting downward to a fairway or green below.

All elevation- nothing is flat.

Lots of forced carries over water, deep fescue, natural depressions, and trees.

And if you do carry the obstacles, it is very easy to lose balls left or right into deep pine-filled woods.

3 nine hole options. You can mix and match the nines to create your own 18, but Jones-Ouimet is the recommended 18.

Thankfully, there are a bunch of tee options. After teeing off, don’t forget to look back to see the tiered tee boxes on many of the holes.

If you are up for a real challenge, the back tees max out at over 7000 yards.

Playability

BOGEY

This is not a beginners course.

You must get off of the tee into a safe landing spot. Sure, this is true everywhere, but there is no finding your ball on the next fairway. If you miss your spot, your ball is likely gone forever.

Definitely take a cart - the elevation changes and distances between holes make it very difficult to walk.

Views

BIRDIE

The massive elevation changes create nice views from most tee boxes.

Each hole is its own entity and most, if not all, present a visually enticing - yet sometimes frightening view.

Vibe

BIRDIE

This is not your average flat track. Crosswinds delivers drama on nearly every hole.

Condition

BIRDIE

Not quite as refined as neighbors, Pinehills or Waverly Oaks, but still way above average.

Fair, true rolling greens.

Practice Areas

PAR

Memorability

BIRDIE

Crosswinds’ drama will stick with you.

It’s not quite as refined as Pinehills, but it’s not as expensive either. So, if you are looking for a more affordable option, Crosswinds is a good one.
